Shops open on Monday till Saturday from 9 to 12,30 a.m. and from 15,30 to 19,30 p.m. - Shopping Centres keep the same opening time but close later: ranging from 20 to 22 p.m.

On seaside areas, the afternoon closing is extended till 16/17 p.m. to allow tourist to enjoy their activities.

BANK SERVICE

Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays banks are closed. They open from Monday to Friday from 8,30 a.m. till 13,30 p.m. and from 14,45 to 16 p.m. in the afternoon. According to the areas, little variations can be adopted about this time slot; instead, it is possible to benefit of a non-stop service until closing time.

MEALS

In north of Italy, worldwide delicious Italian food is generally served between 1,00 and 2,30 p.m. when most professional activities have a brake; dinner is usually served from 19,30 p.m. to 22,30 p. m ., later on booking.

In southern Italy, you can enjoy your lunch with well known typical dishes of the regions you are visiting from 12,30 a.m. to 14,30 p.m.; you can indulge your dinner till midnight.

At 7 a.m. bars open and coffee bars welcome your new day with traditional sweet delicatessen.
Naturally snacks can be obtainable throughout the day.

TIPS

They are nor expected but 10% on the restaurant bill, € 2,00 for a taxi drive in town or for a hotel service will be appreciated.

CLOTHING

Normal clothing is adopted according to weather and seasons.

Late spring to early summer is the best time to visit Southern areas or arts cities if you want to avoid heat; if life by the sea is your favourite you can enjoy it till October. You will find fresher temperatures in the North.

Exclusive or up scale resorts require proper and suitable clothing.

Shoulders, legs and torso must be properly covered when visiting churches ore any other religious places.
